From the gardens and bush of Castlemaine comes a spirit shaped by the seasons. It opens with a delicate wash of herbs, blossoms, and citrus, staying remarkably soft on the aniseed intensity. As it settles in the glass, a landscape of detail appears — crisp pear and melon skin, lifted by hints of rose water and sugar almond.

Every bottle is hand filled and labelled by the maker. Rest assured the labels are never millimeter perfect - if they are, its an accident.

How to Serve
Classic
There's beauty in simplicity. Traditionally 30ml is served neat, with water & ice on the side to be added to taste. (90ml water & large ice blocks should land you in the Goldilocks zone).
Woowarra & Soda
For something brighter, pour 30ml over ice, top with soda & finish with a sprig of fresh herb — mint, rosemary or tarragon all sing.

Fill shaker with ice & ingredients. Shake hard over ice, strain into a chilled glass & let the afternoon slow down.

Woowarra is led by Nathan Strathmore Malcolm, whose background runs through brandy, cider, gin, and whisky production. Before Woowarra, there was Forêt — years spent growing, harvesting, fermenting, distilling, then doing it all again. The work is quiet and deliberate, built on the belief that good spirits come from attention, not shortcuts. Gold medals have been won, but the garden doesn’t care.
Woowarra exists to make spirits with clarity and restraint — spirits that carry the character of where they’re made and the hands that made them. Each release is small, intentional, and built to stand on its own. Nothing is rushed to market. Nothing is made to fill a gap. If it doesn’t earn its place, it doesn’t land in a bottle.
